The Theta Delta chapter began the tradition of their annual Sapphire Ball in the Fall 2022 semester. At their very first Sapphire Ball, a speaker from the JED Foundation attended and delivered a beautiful speech about what the JED Foundation stands for. This was the very first time a JED Foundation employee has visited a Kappa chapter or attended a Kappa event. JED also published an article on the event.
Since then, the ball is hosted every September. Active members, alumni, friends, and family are welcome to attend. Members and alumni wear sapphire blue and guests wear black. Speeches are delivered, dinner is served, and baskets are raffled off. It is an extremely successful and beloved event within the chapter.
