Highlights of 2017
==Highlights of 2018s:==
2018 has been an exceptional year for Gamma Eta and we are even more grateful for all of the wonderful women that 2018 has blessed us with.==In August we welcomed 64 new, intelligent, and beautiful women, who were passionate about Gamma Eta and all that she beholds. In October we were presented with the opportunity of initiating our new members and officially welcome them as sisters. 16 members from member class 2018 will be moving into the Gamma Eta Chapter house come January 2019. We are extremely grateful that both younger and older members get to experience living together and embrace the true friendship that Kappa provides to each of its members.
We are proud to have accepted many awards that highlight our hard work and encourage us to continue to improve our chapter. We cannot wait for 2019 and all of the adventures it will bring.
==Highlights of 2021==
As we celebrated the end of 2020 we looked onto the new year with the hope of getting a little back to normal. Sadly to start off the year online classes, online chapters, online sisterhoods, and online philanthropy events were still the norm due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To start the year the new executive board consisting of Chapter President: Emily Foley, Vice President Standards: Sophie Snyder, Vice President Organization: Hannah Jones, Vice President Academic Excellence: Lulu Duffy, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Paola Quijada, Sadie Justus, Alayna Marsh, Secretary: Molly Jones, Treasurer: Ashtyn Gates, Marshal: Gabi Isaak, Education Chairman: Reagan Brown, Event Chairman: Kylie Gage, House Chairman: Mari Nordstrom, Membership Chairman: Sierra Apodaca, New Member Chairman: Saskia Slater, Panhellenic Delegate: Gwenyth Brown, Philanthropy Chair: Anna Schuetze, Public Relations: Hannah Trammell, Risk Management Chairman: Sarah Mctiernan everything was online. The house was still closed due to COVID-19 so the members were stranded all over with some living in Pullman and others living at home.
January brought the start of another school year online. Weekly chapter was held online and consisted of a PowerPoint and each executive updating the chapter on relevant information. We also welcomed 3 new members into the 2020 new member class.
February included big little over zoom put on my the last New Member chair: Taylor Byrne and a galantine sisterhood hosted by the sisterhood chair: Savannah Slife. Member Class 20 got to receive their bigs after a long wait. Some of them even received two bigs. Another exciting thing was we created a new appointed position called Body Positive with Alexa Bakken running it with switching meetings every other week with the DEI meetings.
In March, we hosted a philanthropy for Kappa Kappa Gamma’s Reading is fundamental by selling merchandise online and excepting donations. The three new members were initiated over zoom by previous marshal Averie Stock and current Marshal: Gabi Isaak. The sisterhood chair Savannah Slife also hosted a zoom yoga sisterhood that girls got to join and do yoga together safely.
Information from chapter’s History ReportDuring April and May the philanthropy chair: Anna Schuetze teamed up with DEI: (ScholarshipPaola Quijada, group honors/awardsSadie Justus, traditions, special events, changes on campus or within chapter, overall nature Alayna Marsh to raise money for Loveland Therapy Fund selling merchandise and a 5K virtual run. Members participated in the 5K all over and were able to send in their participation. May brought the end of the chapter, chapter goals, challenges semester and another group of seniors we had to say goodbye to virtually. The Marshal assistant and Senior coordinator: Aly Wittman made boxes with cute Kappa cookies and how they were overcome, etcmailed them to the graduating seniors.)
Summer brought lots of outdoor fun for members all over. During the summer came the news that recruitment would be in person as well as classes. The news that the House would be opening and able to hold 40 girls in the coming fall semester was exciting to all.
'''HousingAt the start of August, we had a lot to look forward to. Work week was the first time we had all been together in over a year. Lots to catch up on and to learn for the coming week of recruitment. Membership Chairman:''' Sierra Apodaca and Assistant membership chairman: Payton Eckblad handled in-person recruitment with poise and confidence. It was a little hectic due to none of the girls have gone through actual recruitment. The switch from singing to canned music helped everyone be more confident. 39 new members ran home on bid day and two Rho Gamas: Lauren Peck and Mackenzie Lamey. We all enjoyed a “purple butterfly effect” bid day put on by New Member Chairman: Saskia Slater. We had a ball pool, a flower wall, and cotton candy to top it off. After weeks of fun and hard work, we started in-person school after being online for more than a year.
September was a packed month for Kappa and WSU. We enjoyed our first football game as well as a date dash: CougStock with Theta, Fiji, and Pike. We had a movie night, study with sisters, and mini-golf sisterhoods. Kappa Nationals came out with 8 new philanthropies supporting mental health and as a sorority, we chose to support Mental Health America. To support this new philanthropy we raised money by donation, selling merchandise, and a yoga event raising over $5,000.
October started out with initiation. We got to host an in-person initiation and hold a formal dinner for the whole sorority the night before. On October 2, 2021, we initiated 38 young women into Gamma Eta Kappa Kappa Gamma. One other member was initiated two weeks later at the University of Idaho. That same weekend we also held the Fratio sisterhood. It was a busy but fun weekend for everyone. Homecoming was the next week and we were paired up with TKE. We participated in flag football, a lipsync battle, field games, and decorating TKE. It was a week filled with fun getting to know the men of TKE and our sisters better. WSU’s first Parents weekend was held. There was a bbq before the game Saturday for everyone to bring the parents to and to show off our Kappa house. It was tons of fun and everyone loved meeting everyone’s parents. At the end of October, we had the boo bash date dash with Lambda, Theta, and Sig Ep. We also held our annual Kappa Taulloween where we turn TKE into a haunted house. It was a huge hit and the Philanthropy Chair: Anna Schuetze did an amazing job.
'''Philanthropy:'''November was a little more relaxed but just as fun. Fall formal was at the golf course. Everyone looked beautiful and had fun dressing up. We also voted for our new executive board for the coming year. For veterans day there was no school but we held a movie night, we love our Scoot Eastwood. Panhellenic hosts the arete awards and Gabi Isaak, Kylie Gage, Emily Foley, Audrey Curtis, and Sophia Snyder went to represent Kappa. We won the Public Relation award that night. Thanksgiving break was a nice break in the semester and everyone was excited to go home.
For December we came home from Christmas break to the house being decorated for Christmas. We did a house-wide secret Santa and there was a lot of studying for finals. The current exec finished up their last few chapters as exec. The new executive board is President: Audrey Curtis, VP Standards: Salina Loucks, VP Organization: Lauren McKinney, VP Academic Excellence: Lila Rose Ziebarth, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Chairman: Sydney Clark, Secretary: Delaney Brummond, Treasurer: Bethany Lund, Marshal: Aly Wittman, Education Chairman: Sofia Randall, Event Chairman: Landree Tullis, House Chairman: Sarah Baker, Membership Chairman: Lauryn Lepoidevin, New Member Chairman: Nicole Allison, Panhellenic Delegate: Alexa Bakken, Philanthropy Chairman: Annabel Nicolaides, Public Relations: Sydney Berger, Risk Management Chairman: Lily Leifsen.
As we wave 2021 goodbye we look back on all the memories made and look forward to making more in the coming year. Go Cougs! Go Kappa!

We want to give back to our community and supporting this cause lets us help the community around us to the best of our ability.Though multiple different philanthropic events.
