Kappa Kappa Gamma has published five history books. Three were published as single volume books and two were published in three different issues of The Key.

1903

Kappa's Record, A Short History of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity is the earliest and smallest volume and was published in 1903 by Minnie Royse Walker, DePauw. This 67-page volume has not yet been scanned.

1930

History of Kappa Kappa Gamma, 1870-1930 is the largest volume and was edited and largely written by Mae Whiting Westermann, Nebraska, and published in 1932. Several copies were signed by Mae and carry her hand-written warning: "Read the History, Buy the History, Never Write the History."

1975-1977

History of Kappa Kappa Gamma, 1870-1975 was published in two volumes in The Key and was edited by Catherine "Kay" Graf, Ohio State, and Diane Miller Selby, Ohio State. Volume I includes chapter histories and was published in the Fall 1975 issue and Volume II is an organizational history of the Fraternity and was published in the Fall 1977 issue.

1986

The 1986 history was published in the Summer 1986 issue of The Key and was edited by Virginia "Gini" Anding La'Charite, William and Mary.

2000

History 2000, Kappa Kappa Gamma Through the Years is the latest volume and was edited by Gwendolyn "Gay" Barry, Penn State.
